FALLing for Harvest Fun in Central PA

The beautiful sights of Autumn are in full view in Central PA.  Blue Mountain recently took some time to help decorate the landscape at two local Fall events.

Our first Community Caring activity was helping prepare for the Pumpkin Festival at the Penn State Arboretum.  During our time there, we moved hay bales and set them up for display, we also shucked corn and carved some eerie jack-o-lanterns.  You can find more information on the Penn State Arboretum at http://www.arboretum.psu.edu/.

Our second activity was working at the Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center.  Our job was to help them prepare for their spooky Halloween Trail and Fall Festival.  During our time at Shaver’s Creek, we painted signs and helped set-up for their events.  To find more information on the Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center, visit http://shaverscreek.org/.
